Did you know the Old Court House is Perth’s oldest building, constructed in 1836 at the beginning of the Swan River Colony? We don’t mind if you borrow that fun fact to impress the grandies when you visit! While you’re there, learn about stories from both sides of WA’s frontier, as the kids have a go at a ‘whodunnit’ - describing a criminal to create an identikit picture.
A Vintage Fleet Turnout – Historic Fire Engines Return to the Old Perth Central Fire Station

Old fire stations and vintage fire engines, you can’t go wrong with that! Discover the history of these 100-year-old vehicles while the kids get to live out their dream of dressing up as a firefighter. There will even be rides around the block on an original 1960’s Bedford.
Nyumbi Dance

A crowd favourite, Nyumbi (meaning celebration dance in Nyoongar language) is one performance not to miss! Soak in the Nyoongar culture through this beautiful display of song, dance and language, as local performers share their rich culture and history.
Nyoongar Language Workshop for Children with Sharon Gregory

If your grandkids are visual learners, bring them along to this language workshop where they will make their very own book to take home with them. If a cruisy Sunday is more your thing, you will have to put the Bell Tower on your to-do list as they’re offering free entry all day! Featuring rich history, stunning views of the Swan River and a special bell ringing display from 11am-2pm, this experience has something for even the hardest to impress grandkids.
Noongar Dance Workshop with Djirrily Dreaming
Kings Park and Botanic Garden
Sunday: 1pm – 2pm
Immerse yourself in one of the most iconic elements of Nyoongar culture – dance. Participants will have the opportunity to get painted up and use traditional props while they learn a traditional Noongar dance. We promise fun for all ages at this fantastic workshop!
