Strange Festival

Across the CBD | 16 June to 25 June

Prepare to be captivated by the unusual as the highly anticipated Strange Festival returns to Perth City. Strange will push boundaries and challenge perceptions, featuring over thirty visual artists in a free-to-see art trail across vacant spaces in Carillon, London Court, Hay Street Mall, Forrest Chase, Raine Square, 'Liberty' Basement, and Pooles Temple at the State Buildings.

AEON

Cathedral Square | 16 to 25 June

Brand new and never exhibited before, AEON (or Zero) by Perth artist Tom Mùller is a site-resonant and experiential installation conceived in response to the significance and notion of ‘centering’ a city. This exploration of a ‘centre’, a ‘point zero’ through a light and sound-based installation allows the audience to physically get a sense of being immersed within a centre. Dance performances begin at 6pm and conclude at 7:30pm. The public can interact with AEON from 7:30pm to 9pm. Find out more here.

Fever Dream

Langley Park | 25 and 25 June

Get ready to be enchanted as Fever Dream takes over Perth with a mesmerizing free outdoor spectacle at Langley Park. This immersive experience invites all ages to enter a world of wonder and engage with giant illuminated puppets. Led by renowned puppetry company Curious Legends, the production showcases a magnificent 10-meter-long Stingray, soaring aerial creations, a majestic 5-meter-tall river spirit, and locally made illuminated Stingray puppets.

Before each performance, a two-hour workshop allows community members to create their own handheld stingrays, with the opportunity to join the main visual performance alongside the illuminated giants.
