Cycling Around Perth
Perth is a bike-friendly city with a vast network of cycle and dual-use paths.
Many riverside routes are clearly signposted and detailed cycle maps can be obtained from most metropolitan bicycle retailers.
Bike hire in the city
About Bike Hire is situated at a brand-new facility at Point Fraser. They rent out a variety of bikes for short hire, full day, and long-term hire.
Bike hire Kings Park
See Kings Park on two wheels thanks to Spinway WA, who have a bike hire terminal located behind Fraser’s Restaurant.
Cycling is permitted on all roads in Kings Park, however, you must stick to designated pedestrian / cycle paths only.
River Loop Cycle
Jumping on a bike and riding the Swan River bridges is a must-do for cycling enthusiasts. Stop at beautiful parklands, restaurants, and cafes along the way as you take in the beautiful Perth climate and the spectacular Swan River.
There are multiple crossing points at any of the Swan River bridges: the Narrows, the Causeway, Matagarup Bridge, and Windan Bridge.
This 45-minute to 1-hour ride will take you along the South Perth and Victoria Park foreshores, the Burswood Peninsula to Optus Stadium, into Claisebrook Cove, Point Fraser, and Elizabeth Quay.
