Aeon
Brand new and never exhibited before, AEON (or Zero) by Perth artist Tom Mùller is a site-resonant and experiential installation conceived in response to the significance and notion of ‘centering’ a city. Point Zero is the marker from which all distances to Perth are measured and represents the centre point and civic heart of the city.
This exploration of a ‘centre’, a ‘point zero’ through a light and sound-based installation allows the audience to physically get a sense of being immersed within a centre. This new light and sound installation envelopes the audience into a timeless geography of what it means to be standing inside ‘zero’. Tom Mùller will collaborate with acclaimed Western Australian composers to create a truly immersive and absorbing artwork transporting the audience to the beginning – point zero.Dance performances begin at 6pm and conclude at 7:30pm. The public can interact with AEON from 7:30pm to 9pm.
AEON (or Zero) by Tom Mùller, has been made possible with assistance from the Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries CBD Revitalisation Grant Program.
