Perth’s favourite indoor winter festival is back and it’s bigger, cooler, and snowier than ever before. There’s something around every corner, with ice-skating, snow slides, Sub-Zero Silent Disco, Snowball Showdown, Carnival Rides, Sideshow Games, tasty treats and much, much more! For grownups and older kids there’s Winter Fest Nights, a little later and louder and complete with an 18+ pop-up bar!

Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor

WA Museum's latest exhibition will bring you face to face with more than 225 exceptional Chinese artefacts, including the warriors, appearing together globally for the first time. While the Museum’s open seven days a week, Sundays are perfect for families — with mooncake making, clay play, dance and hands-on fun for every little warrior.
Crafty Robots Family Adventure Day
West Perth
This adventure through West Perth is perfect for curious kids. Head to a cosy local café for morning coffee and snacks, then visit a recycling art centre where your robot’s parts are hidden. Hunt for clues on a fun scavenger mission through the warehouse before heading to a trendy, family-friendly eatery. There, enjoy a relaxing lunch while getting creative as you build your robot buddy! Perfect for families with robot lovers aged 4-10.
Didgeridoo with Ngalak Nidja
City of Perth Library
Immerse yourself in the sounds of the ancient Nyoongar culture. Learn about the Nyoongar people, listen to the stories that have been passed down, and experience the Didgeridoo – a traditional wind instrument that originated in Yolgnu country. This event is completely free, although bookings are required. Suitable for ages 6 to 12.

You’ll be transported to Europe while keeping your feet planted firmly in Perth with Cosy @ the Quay, a three day festival bringing winter magic to the heart of the City. There’ll be live musicians, entertainment, crackling fire pits and plenty of European-inspired food and drink on offer.

Pokemon and Pizza Day
The Nostalgia Box
Perfect for kids and kids at heart alike, The Nostalgia Box is Australia’s first and only interactive Video Game Console Museum. Head down for Pokemon and Pizza day on 12 July for classic Pokemon games as well as Pokemon-themed activities like origami, card drawing and diorama building. Pokemon Go players are in luck – the museum’s home to not one, but two Pokestops.
Perth Comic Arts Festival

Celebrate the magic of comics this July with the Perth Comic Arts Festival! Listen to panels and talks from comic artists, a packed market hall of independent creators, check out our two comic exhibitions, and make comics in our family friendly workshops, all for free at the State Library. Workshops, talks and panels are free, but spots are limited so be sure to secure a ticket.
