When the temperature drops, nothing hits quite like a steak. From your classic pub feed to premium cuts, here's our favourite steak specials around the City.

The Reveley

Whether you're heading there for great food or just to soak up the stunning river views, The Reveley is the perfect spot for a long Friday lunch. Enjoy a 300gr Arlo Picanha with fries and chimichurri for $30. Available Fridays 11:30am - 3pm.

Varnish on King

If one steak is never enough, Varnish on King has you sorted with their endless sirloin steak and bottomless fries. It's $59 per person, available Thursday and Friday night every single week. Come hungry!

The Leadlight

Head to The Leadlight after 4pm on a Tuesday and dig into steak au poivre with a side of waffle fries for just $20.

Fallow

Fallow does steak and does it well - or medium rare - so it makes sense for them to have not one but two steak specials. On Thursday nights, you grab a 300gm slow-cooked picanha, their famous Fallow fries, and pepper sauce for $35, or if you're feeling bougie upgrade to the 300gm wagyu sirloin for an extra $33. Head their on a Friday between 12 and 3pm for a chargrilled minute steak, Fallow fries, cafe de paris butter and a glass of house wine or middy of swan for $28.

Whether you're heading out for a client lunch, mid-week date night or a quick feed after work, Stables' Tuesday steak special is the perfect spot. Tuck into a rump steak, house salad, pepper sauce and chips for $25, and if you're keen to add some surf to your turf add creamy garlic prawns for an extra $8.

The Globe

Conveniently located in the heart of the City, The Globe effortlessly blends all the charm of a classic pub with a modern, vibrant beer garden and a food and drink menu that'll leave everyone more than satisfied. On Thursdays, they're slinging $26 250g rump or $35 300g scotch steak, both with chips, salad and your choice of sauce.

Furaibo

One of our favourite Japanese spots in the City, Furaibo's also offering up perfectly-cooked steak, with a side of fries, for just $23 every Thursday night. Kanpai!

Brown Street Grill

Tuck into a flame-grilled steak and schooner of Bright Tank beer or a glass of house red or white for $40 at Brown Street Grill. Available every Wednesday.

Johnny Fox's

This late-night Irish bar draws as much of a crowd on weekdays as it does on weekends - and for good reason. Johnny Fox's has a mouthwatering menu of nightly meal specials, with Mondays offering a 250g grass fed rump steak with sides for $25.

The Royal

Head to The Royal on a Wednesday to enjoy a 250g porterhouse steak, fresh leafy greens, chips and your choice of either peppercorn sauce, gravy or garlic butter for just $30.

Bobèche

This charismatic cocktail bar is making happy hour that much happier with their Thursday steak special. Feast on a 250g Stirling Ranges striploin with chips and jus for just $25.
