From riverside jaunts and park runs to urban explorations, Perth’s run clubs offer a community where encouragement and fun fuels every stride. If you’re looking to discover a blend of fitness and friendship read on for our list of some of the City’s best run clubs.

Perth Frontrunners
is the home for the City’s LGBTIQA+ runners, friends, supporters and dog buddies, whether you’re a seasoned pacer or the Club’s favourite, ‘crap-joggers’. Perth Frontrunners focuses on community and fun, not just running. Meeting weekly at Kings Park on Saturdays at 8am, all runs are fully accessible for participants of all abilities, and every run finishes with a social coffee at Zamia Cafe. The Club’s big event for the year is the Perth Pride Run & Walk and this year it will be held on Saturday 16 November 2024 at 8am at Barrack Square. Registration is already open at Pride Run & Walk 2024 - Perth Frontrunners so join the Saturday club and get training…or ‘crap-jogging’!

Perth Running Club is a friendly, recreational run group with the motto ‘no-one is too slow’. The Club hosts interval run training at Matilda Bay every Thursday morning from 6am to 7am. The cost per session is $15. Send an email to coach@perthrunningclub.com.au to sign-up and for further details.

Looking to try off-road? The Perth Trail Series Social Runs are held in Kings Park every Thursday at 6pm. The weekly social club is ideal for beginners, those still new to trail events, or experienced runners looking to meet more people and build confidence on trails. Staying together as a group on every run, to share tips and advice, the Club usually completes an 8km or 10km run each session.

Let’s not forget about the renowned parkruns, which occur Australia wide. parkruns are free 5km weekly timed events hosted entirely by volunteers every Saturday at 8am. Near Perth’s CBD, the Claisebrook Cove parkrun has been hitting the pavement since 2012, logging more than 500 events. While across the river in Crawley, the University of Western Australia parkrun, offers a course that is two flat laps circling the historical university buildings on campus; combining running and culture! The group hosts up to 150 runners each week, from beginners to the more experienced.

Rise, shine, and run every Friday morning with the Femmi Run Community, a group of supportive, empowering and friendly women, spanning across Australia and New Zealand. Run between 4km - 6km at a 6:00 to 6:30min/km pace. Meeting at eternal flame, Kings Park you'll not only get to hang we an amazing group but also see the stunning city views.

Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or a newbie eager to lace up and explore, Perth's friendly, social run scene is thriving and waiting to welcome you with open arms and open trails, all against the stunning backdrop of Western Australia's capital.
