Here's where to score Perth's most gourmet bagels

Bagels are too good for us humans; we don’t deserve them. However, we are eternally grateful to have them in our lives, and bagels will forever be a classic for brekkie on-the-go.

To celebrate just how much we love bagels, we’ve rounded up the best spots in Perth to grab your fix. Whether you’re in a rush to get to work and need something quick and easy to munch on, or if you’re after an exquisite experience with amazing flavours, there’s a little something for us all. There’s only one condition – you have to love bagels.

Brilliant Brekkie Bagels

Kafka

Listen up celiac pals: every single one of these baked holey delights can be made gluten free here at kafka. The bagels are baked fresh every day, and there’s nearly 20 options available. We vote for the olive and rosemary bagel with jalapeño cream cheese.

Duotone

With 2 pumping locations (Northbridge and East Perth), Duotone smashes out some darn delicious bagels to go with your morning coffee. Coated in delicious grains and packed with tasty fillings, you’re guaranteed to come back wanting more.

DripHouse

Eggs Benedict is one of the best brekkie dishes, but it’s a little hard to eat it when you’re not sitting down. That’s why DripHouse have made their own eggs benny bagel so you can eat on the go. Plus, the coffee is amazing. We’re huge fans of the cold brew.

Bagels and Beans

As the name indicates, it’s bagels and coffee galore at this West Perth spot. Smashing out amazing bagels and tasty coffee, it’s the perfect place for a bite to eat. But it doesn’t stop there: they’re also slinging baked goods, wraps, and salads too.

Bagels with the mostest

Lulu Lala

We just had to include Lulu Lala in the loaded bagels section, as they’ve always got incredible flavours going around. They’ve got blueberry bagels with blueberry cream cheese, or give the maple walnut cream cheese bagel a crack.

Eat Drink Raw

Healthy bagels, we heard you say? That’s right, Eat Drink Raw is slinging the healthy (but, of course, delicious) goods from 7am, Monday to Friday. Offering up Strange Grains bagels with your choice of a number of different toppings, this is the perfect place to charge up for the day. Hint: they make peanut butter and almond butter from scratch – and you can have it on your bagel.

Recess

When it comes to bagels, you really can’t go wrong with smoked salmon and cream cheese with just a touch of spinach. The guys at Recess on Barrack Street have hit the nail on the head with it too. It’s right in the CBD, so it’s perfect for grabbing a bite on the way to work, or for your lunch break. Otherwise, get funky with their chicken katsu bagel. Drool.

Mr. Sandwich

Mr. Sandwich makes bomb sandwiches and silky coffees, as well as amazing bagels. The awesome Reuben bagel is a must try with sauerkraut, cheese, pickles and chipotle mayo, or if you're looking for something a little more basic why not try the ham and brie cheese bagel.
