The Perth International Jazz Festival rolls on with Nice To Meet You at the Ellington. The concept? Get two world-class musicians who have never played together on the stage to create music magic. The audience will get to experience first-hand how two musical strangers build and improvise a swinging jazz set in front of us. Trombonist Mariel Bildsten (USA) will partner up with guitarist Ray Walker (WA) for the first half. Later, the second half will feature saxophonist Sarah Hanahan (USA) who will team up with pianist Tal Cohen (USA). It’s a chance to hear jazz at its purest and what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
