  3. Five new Northbridge spots for sweet treats
The City’s dessert scene is booming with a bunch of new openings dishing up delicious treats in Northbridge! From pancakes to pastries, here are five new places in Perth to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Cult favourite Kuld Creamery has added to the abundance of ice cream options in the city with their new store on Roe Street. These guys believe ‘less is more’ and release just a handful of flavour options at a time, so you’ll find something different there each month (including vegan options made with cashew cream and organic coconut milk). No matter when you visit, you can expect some seriously good flavour combos studded with sweet extras and swirled with sauces. Try a scoop in a cookie sandwich for a real treat.

At Cuccini Gelato on William Street in Northbridge, they’re churning up sweet sensations daily in an authentic Italian gelato machine. There are classic flavours like milk chocolate gelato and lemon sorbet, of course. But if you’re after something a bit different, look for quirkier options like saffron; avo and lime; or cucumber and mint! Everything is made from scratch and they’re open from midday until late seven days a week. For a grown-up after-dinner indulgence, go for their affogato with your choice of gelato.

Muffle Australia have also chosen William Street for their second shop. Their specialty is the ‘muffle’, a crispy, chewy waffle wrapped into a cone shape so you can carry it in one hand.  These are filled with your choice of ice cream and toppings. From milo to matcha, there’s an array of different flavoured fillings catering to every craving. They’ve also introduced kakigori, a Japanese shaved ice dessert - a refreshing option for hotter days!

Lucky Puffs have burst onto Perth’s dessert scene, quickly graduating from a market food truck to a shop on James Street. Their namesake puffs are fresh, fluffy pancake bites filled with custard, which you can enjoy laden with your favourite toppings (berries, nuts, sprinkles, sauces - you name it!). They also offer gluten-free and dairy-free ‘likelets’ to cover a range of dietary requirements.

Continue on the night by watching one of the many gigs on throughout the moth of April, check them out here.
