When Kingswood’s album Microscopic War came roaring out of the gate in 2014 like a rebel yell for Australian alternative rock music. Featuring high-octane energy from thumping drums, crunchy guitar riffs and vocals that shook you to the core, the album was a lightning bolt of Aussie rock. Ten years later the band is paying homage to the album with a gig at Magnet House. For those who haven’t yet experienced the power of Kingswood, make sure you do. The four-piece will give an electric performance of their hits including “Ohio”, “Suck Punch” and “She’s My Baby”.

Check out the international jazz singer’s smooth and sultry vocals backed by her stellar ensemble including Mike Nelson (piano), Lachlan Gear (saxophone), Adam Springhetti (bass) and Bront Ainsworth (drums). She’s a seasoned professional having played across the world and knows how to give a stellar performance. Expect to hear standards as well as her take on artists like Wayne Shorter, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Kral and Henri Betti.

This legendary Irish rock band known for their stirring sound and dynamic live shows will be giving a rare performance at Lynott’s Lounge. Once touted as the next U2, the Irish group has a wild, tumultuous and rich 40-year history of highs and lows. Throughout it all the band members have written and recorded prolifically earning a highly regarded reputation for nuanced writing and uniquely Irish sound. Sadly, last year, frontman Christy Dignam passed away but the band has regrouped with new singer Lee Tomkins. Together they’ll keep the memories burning bright with hits “Crazy World”, “This Is” and “Shine A Light”.
