Sad news was revealed last month, with Badlands Bar announcing their closure in December after seven years. The live music venue was a personal favourite for gigs having seen legends like King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, The Mountain Goats and Dustin Tebbutt and Polish Club there. Tony Bennett - Simone Craddock & Friends

When Tony Bennett passed away last month, it felt like one of the greats had truly left us. In his 96 years, the jazz singer racked up 20 Grammys and sold more than 50 million records worldwide. The Ellington pays tribute to the legendary singer Frank Sinatra called, “the greatest singer in the business” with Simone Craddock bringing his songs to life for one night. Joining the award-winning vocalist will be Perth’s best jazz players who will dip into his songs from his 1952 debut “Because of You” to contemporary duets with Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse.

Fans of alt-punk rock and progressive rock, listen up. LA Dispute from Grand Rapids Michigan are coming to Perth to celebrate the anniversary of their experimental album 2011’s Wildlife. The album delivered an emotional post-hardcore journey. Though some may find its intensity overwhelming, that's kinda the point. Poetic lyrics and dynamic instrumentals provide a unique experience for alternative fans and to hear the band will be nothing short of magical. Along with a run through Wildlife’s songs, LA Dispute will also play fan favourites. It's music for the soul for hard times.
