St George’s Cathedral

St George's Cathedral

In the heart of Perth’s heritage precinct lies the magnificent English Gothic Revival building, St George’s Cathedral.

Consecrated in 1888, St George's Cathedral stands as a monument to the pioneers who constructed it from a mix of imported and local materials, including handmade bricks.

The Cathedral contains numerous icons, stained glass windows and memorials, including the Soldier’s Chapel.

It is the principal cathedral of the Anglican Province of Western Australia and a place for people to gather in worship and prayer that is open to all faiths.
