WA Museum Boola Bardip

WA Museum Boola Bardip is a place to share Western Australia’s many stories.

Our people, our places and our role in the world. Boola Bardip means many stories in Nyoongar; the Country on which the Museum sits.

The Museum features eight permanent galleries, each with its own distinct theme and displays, which has been developed in consultation with around 54,000 people from around WA.

WA Museum Boola Bardip also has a 1,000sqm special exhibition gallery, five stunning heritage-listed buildings, retail and cafe spaces – and of course, thousands of items from the State's collections displayed in new and innovative ways.

WA Museum Boola Bardip is a place to enjoy, learn, debate and imagine.

Explore the stories and culture of local Aboriginal peoples and the perspectives of individuals and communities that have shaped Western Australia’s identity and sense of place.

Highlights of the Museum include Otto the 24 metre blue whale skeleton, specimens and models of the State’s unique plants, animals and incredible land formations, fascinating minerals and meteorites and the megafauna and dinosaurs that once inhabited prehistoric Earth. And don’t miss the crystal portal – a selfie moment in the Museum.

The Museum is open daily from 9.30am to 5pm.
