Heritage Circle

The Heritage Circle is a poignant stop for both the art and history lovers. Local artists Charles Smith and Joan Walsh-Smith are respected sculptors whose works are featured as far and wide as Ireland, China and throughout Australia.

The Heritage Circle is an interesting snapshot of local life for British settlers and Noongar people in the early days of Victoria Park.

A series of tablets depict scenes such as Sport and Recreation, Architecture and Transport, and a central map shows the lands of local Indigenous people.

It’s a thought-provoking mix of two cultures during the early days of the Swan River Colony, and a beautiful spot to sit and relax in GO Edwards Park.
