Jewish memorial in kings park

Jewish War Memorial

Erected in 1920, the Jewish War Memorial honours the Jewish Western Australian soldiers who died in World War I.

The monument was designed by Italian-born sculptor Pietro Porcelli and consists of a column of Donnybrook stone crowned by a globe bearing the Star of David.

A plaque was added in 1953 to commemorate those Jewish soldiers who lost their lives in World War II.

Forty-three names are shown for World War I and eight names are shown for World War II.

The Jewish War Memorial is located in Kings Park and Botanic Garden.
