Government House
The official residence of the Governor of Western Australia, Government House is an important part of Perth’s history.
This magnificent building was completed in 1864 and is of both architectural and historic significance to the city.
Standing proud on St George’s Terrace, the heritage listed building replaced the previous Government House which was deemed inadequate by Governor Stirling for its leaky roof.
Government House is set across 3.2 hectares of beautiful gardens, lawns and trees and is also a tourist attraction in the CBD.
