Tristan Fidler (he/him) is a writer and broadcaster with a great love of cinema. Danny Clark is the recipient of a birthday present he would rather forget — his father's old Nissan Cedric. But when the beautiful and spirited Joanna Johnson says yes to a date with him, he promises to pick her up in a Jaguar. In a tight fix and desperate to impress, Danny trades the Cedric in for a Jag, only to be ripped off by a dodgy used-car salesman.
