So It Comes To Dust

All empires fall.

Forced into a war they don’t want to fight, in the middle of a desert that never seems to end, a group of conscripts guard a checkpoint that no one ever crosses. Late one night a stranger appears, warning of potential catastrophe. Where did he come from? Can he be trusted? Does he know the other stranger running down the dunes towards them… So It Comes To Dust is a brand-new surreal thriller written and directed by Evan Rickman (Where Water Once Was, The Belly), set in the beautiful and terrifyingly vast West Australian desert. Exploring the links between fear of the unknown, violence as a system of justice, and the cyclical nature of societal collapse, it asks the question: is peace in society maintainable, or just a bridging state between the wars us humans seem so intent on perpetuating?
