Meet the Museum: From Tall Tales to True Scales
Meet the Museum: From Tall Tales to True Scales
Fishing lore is full of “the one that got away”, but what was it and how big was it, really?
Join Wayne Walters, science communicator and founder of Blue Crew, for an interactive session that blends marine science with creative expression. Explore the anatomy, adaptations, and survival strategies of fish, and discover how these features influence , strength, and behaviour in the wild.
Unleash your creativity by developing your very own detailed fish print using high-quality replicas. More than just the form of your “catch,” this will be a scientifically informed understanding of what makes your fish remarkable. It’s a hands-on way to connect art, ecology, and the realities behind the stories.
Water-based inks will be used in this process with minimal mess. However, feel free not to wear your best outfit!
