Lotterywest Festive Lights
Presented by the City of Perth, with generous support from major event partner Lotterywest.
Over two packed nights, Elizabeth Quay comes alive as the month of Christmas begins! The highlight of the festivities is at 8pm, featuring a spectacular 500-piece drone show and fireworks from the Elizabeth Quay footbridge, whisking visitors away to a magical world.
There’s plenty to enjoy on land too. Keep the whole family entertained with a variety of activities, including roving performers, hula hoop workshops, and for those up for a challenge, sideshow alley. When it’s time to cool down, head over to the BHP Water Park!
Amidst all the fun, treat your taste buds at the numerous food trucks and eateries around Elizabeth Quay. Relax and savour the experience with ample seating provided at the event.
Accessibility
The City of Perth is proud to host accessible and inclusive events.

- Venue is accessible to people who use wheelchairs, walking aids and who are accompanied with prams.
- First Aid services will be available at this event.
- An Assistance Animal Relief Area will be available on Geoffrey Bolton Avenue, on the area near the toilets as marked on the event map
- An accessible viewing area will be available near the Carousel at Elizabeth Quay – please see the event map for exact location
- Drinking water can be purchased from food stalls and nearby retailers. Drinking fountains are located at various points around the Elizabeth Quay inlet.

- Includes 23 ACROD parking bays

- This carpark is not accessible for ACROD parking during the weekend
Additional temporary ACROD bays will be reserved on The Esplanade and Riverside Drive as on street parking but are subject to availability.
Please note if parking at CPP Convention Centre car park that the pedestrian and vehicle exit to Riverside Drive will be closed during this event. Please exit via Mounts Bay Road and safely cross. William Street at the pedestrian crossing.

A taxi service is available for passengers with disabilities. This service operates 24 hours a day and it is recommended to book 24 hours in advance to avoid delays. The service can be booked on (08) 9333 3377.

The closest bus stops are at Elizabeth Quay Bus Station.
The closest permanent accessible toilets can be found within Elizabeth Quay and Supreme Court Gardens.
Temporary accessible toilets will be provided at Elizabeth Quay.
Hearing Impairment
Auslan interpreters will be available during the light show segment of the Festive Lights event from 8:00pm to 8:15pm on Saturday, 30 November 2024. These services will be provided in an accessible viewing area near the Carousel, as indicated on the event map.
Vision Impairment
Audio description services will be available for patrons with vision impairments during the light show segment of the Festive Lights event from 8:00pm to 8:15pm on Saturday, 30 November 2024. These services will be provided in an accessible viewing area near the Carousel, as indicated on the event map. To access these services, please download the free Sennheiser Mobile Connect App on your mobile device before arriving at the venue. Once there, connect to the DADAA Wi-Fi network to use the app.
Lotterywest Sensory Space
A sensory space is available for individuals experiencing sensory overload, as well as their family members or guardians, who need a break from the event’s excitement. Please ensure that family members are not left unattended in this space.

Light Show Viewing
The light show, featuring a 500-drone display followed by a three-minute pyrotechnic show off the Elizabeth Quay footbridge, is scheduled to start at 8pm each night. Please be aware that there may be delays due to weather, which will be communicated on the event day.
For the best experience, the City of Perth recommends viewing the drone show from Elizabeth Quay. The show is not designed to be viewed from other locations, so images may appear reversed or viewing may be restricted from areas such as South Perth or Kings Park. Additionally, audiences outside Elizabeth Quay will not be able to hear the narrated soundtrack or access event facilities.
Please note that the Elizabeth Quay footbridge will be closed to the public from 4pm to 9pm each night.

Road Closures
For public safety, road closures will be installed in/around the Elizabeth Quay precinct to restrict vehicle access and allow safe pedestrian flow. The following road closures will be in place each night:
- 3pm to 10pm
- Geoffrey Bolton Avenue
- Duchess Way
- Enchantress Way
- 3pm to 10:30pm
- Birdiya Drive citybound (Access to Mounts Bay Road and the Freeway will remain open, with traffic controls in place)
- 7pm to 9pm
- William Street (between The Esplanade and the Mitchell Freeway on/off ramp)
The Esplanade will NOT be closed at any point throughout the day.
