Community Walking Tour: Recycling Centre

Looking for something fun and educational to do during the school holidays? Join us on a free community walking tour of the Resource Recovery Group's Canning Vale Centre with the team from Recycle Right®.

You will get an inside look at what happens to kerbside waste and recycling after collection and how it is transformed back into a resource.

On this 90-minute tour you will learn about:

• The Food Waste Processing Facility
• The Green Waste Facility
• The Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), where recyclables from the yellow lid kerbside bins are sorted and baled for resale.
• Tips to help you to avoid, reduce, reuse, and recycle

Bus transport provided departing Leederville and Perth

Tour path and footwear requirements:

• The tour involves spending approximately 30 minutes of walking outdoors on bush paths around the site. A reasonable level of physical fitness is required. 
• Fully enclosed footwear is essential for all attendees. 
• Children aged six years and over are welcome. They must be accompanied by a supervising adult and register a ticket to secure a seat on the bus.
