Better Beginnings at the Library

Better Beginnings is a Western Australian family literacy program that connects families with books through free reading packs.

Together we aim to improve literacy and learning outcomes for WA children. It’s never too early to share books with your child. Visit the Better Beginnings website for fun ideas to read, talk, sing, write, and play with your child every day.

To collect your free Better Beginnings baby or toddler literacy pack ask our friendly staff on Level 4.

To celebrate the Better Beginnings Program, for a week in May we’ll be hosting Rebecca from Musical Experiences for Children, at our Baby Rhymetime, Toddler Rhymetime, and Storytime sessions. Rebecca will be running special sessions that explore the Better Beginnings family literacy resources.
