Lucky Chans
Northbridge | Website
It’s not dinner at Lucky’s unless you order the Tofu Fries. These delicious fried soldiers are stacked and served with a side of vegan Kewpie mayo. If you like a hot kick, The Spicy Vegan Bao are filled with a fiery combo of Szechuan mushroom, fried tofu and slaw.
Wash it all down with a non/alcoholic bubble tea or wine from the beverage list labelled with vegan friendly options!
Double Rainbow (The Rechabite)
Northbridge | Website
Double Rainbow is one of Perth’s funkiest vegan friendly venues. Their a la carte menu sports vegan dishes from entrée through to dessert, making it a personal favourite for special occasions. You can even opt for a vegan “feed me” night, leaving the dishes up to Chef Danny Sanchez, while you sit back and admire the smoky open kitchen and bold décor inspired by the backstreets of Asia.
Their current menu features drool worthy dishes such as kimchi fried rice, eggplant rendang (yum!) and turmeric coconut curry.
The Globe
Central Perth | Website
Move over fries and ketchup, The Globe is showing pubs how it’s done! This popular CBD pub and beer garden is a favourite for more than just after work drinks. They have recently added vegan friendly dishes to the menu, including the incredibly popular, Sweet Spicy Cauliflower.
Resembling agedashi tofu with its gelatinous-like coat, this incredibly tasty dish has a hot kick and is served with spicy jalapeno aioli. A great location for winding down any day of the week.
Bistro Bellavista
East Perth | Website
Specialising in wood fired pizza and pasta, Bistro Bellavista serves authentic Italian/Mediterranean, guaranteed to leave you undoing your top button.
Simple and rich in flavour, the Spaghetti Aglio Olio is a classic favourite, tossed in oil, garlic and fresh chili for a spicy kick. I love pairing it with the Focaccia Al Forno (homemade focaccia with EVOO and balsamic) and ending with a coffee for a full traditional Italian experience!
Filling and made with love, Bistro Bellavista’s award winning menu always hits the spot.
Yefsi
Northbridge | Website
Homely “meze” style Greek food, created to share with family and friends. Yefsi feels like home with a traditional menu made with love and authenticity. Yefsi’s hummus and Melitzanosalata (eggplant) dips are textured and flavoursome, served with delicious pita bread. You’ll be craving Greek dip for days!
The Yemista is a dish straight from my childhood. Smoky and aromatic, yemista are stuffed seasonal vegetables, filled with rice and herbs.
Top it off with a Greek coffee and if you’re lucky, maybe someone will read the future in your cup!
Alfred’s Pizzeria
Central Perth | Website
If cocktails, late night pizza, and rock ‘n’ roll are your thing, you’ll adore this 1940’s-esque underground bar.
Alfred’s pizzas not only sport giggle-worthy names (e.g. The Fonz and Home Alone), but they also offer three veggie options you can make vegan by subtracting the cheese. Enjoy a whole pizza to yourself or order by the slice to try them all!
The bar holds a decent whisk(e)y range, plus all your usual favourites. Pizza, good tunes and drinks, the ultimate wind down.
Little China Girl
Northbridge | Website
Love dim sum and charming interiors? Little China Girl is one of Perth’s best vegan friendly Asian eateries. Offering a full two-page vegan menu, you can enjoy small dishes, big bites and dessert in their uniquely furnished dining room.
The steamed BBQ “Pork” Buns are seriously moreish with a fluffy exterior and chewy faux pork filling. The Singaporean Rice Noodles are also a hit, served generously with a kick of spice. A great option for quick and easy eats, guaranteed to hit the spot.
The Stables Bar
Central Perth | Website
This beautiful venue is my dream combination of modern and heritage. Through the iron gates and down the cobble stone path, you’ll find a wonderful night of share food and delicious drinks.
Diary free arancini are hard to come by and Stables do it impeccably. One of the only venues in Perth with vegan arancini on the menu, Stables serves them with creamy vegan mayo. Absolutely delicious!
