Planning a hens party is exciting, but can also be overwhelming - particularly when you’re organising transport. Buses between locations take a lot of logistical planning and also chew into your party budget (which could be spent on more cocktails.)

Luckily though, there is one really simple way to avoid all that - base your hens party in the city. That way, when your bride-to-be wants to extend the celebrations into the evening, you can easily kick on to some of the city’s best bars and clubs, without having to worry about party buses or transportation.

Here are some of the best places to start your hens party in the city.

High Tea at The Westin, Perth

What better way to kick off a hens party afternoon than with a high tea? The Westin does a sensational job of it with their signature tea in their Haven Lounge, a gorgeous ambient space overlooking Hibernian Place. The high tea comes with generous savoury items, including a mini roast wagyu beef wellington, and impressive desserts like a raspberry gateaux and fresh scones with cream. Their high tea is available from 12pm - 4pm for $49 per person, plus the cost of drinks.

The Globe, Perth

Every Saturday and Sunday The Globe has Perth’s only Prosecco Fountain Brunch, the perfect way to start a day of hens party celebrations. Starting at 10am and held in their gorgeous lounge bar, the package includes a seasonal cocktail on arrival, a shared brunch grazing board which includes things like bacon, eggs, avocado and crumpets, a dessert board of pastries, and two hours of free flowing prosecco and spritz. It’s a very reasonable price of $49 per person, bookings are essential.

Oh Hey WA Hens Parties, Perth & Northbridge

The team at Oh Hey WA are some of Perth’s best tour guides and run a range of walking tours to help you explore and rediscover your city. One of their fan favourites is the hens party tour, which takes all the hard work of hens party planning - all you need to do is book a date and they do rest. Their four-hour hens party adventure includes a cocktail masterclass, a bar crawl through Perth and Northbridge which includes free drinks and food, fun hens-related games and activities (which they personally promise are not tacky or cringe-worthy), and a pamper package for the bride to be as a little gift. Plus, if you’re happy to equip them with fun facts about the bride, they’ll also share funny stories along the way, ensuring your crowd is kept entertained.

High Tea at COMO at The Treasury, Perth

COMO is Perth’s most gorgeous and revered hotel, making its Treasury Lounge and Bar an ideal location for a stylish and dignified high tea. The menu celebrates local WA produce, and includes things like Shark Bay prawn and cucumber on rye, Linley Valley pork sliders and macadamia tartlets. They have three different high tea packages to choose from - the Classic is $65 per person and includes the full menu served with Mano a Mano coffee or tea, the WA Tea for $75 comes with a glass of sparkling from Denmark’s Singlefile Vineyard, or if you’re after something really special, the Signature for $85 comes with a glass of French champagne.
