Murray Mews

The Murray Mews building, a hidden gem in the heart of Perth, holds a rich tapestry of history dating back to 1899.

Originally commissioned by R.A. Fredrick and constructed by the master builder L. Harrison, this iconic structure has stood as a testament to craftsmanship for well over a century.

While its bones reflect the late Victorian era, its striking Art Deco façade—paying homage to the interwar years—exemplifies the bold, geometric designs that have become synonymous with the style. At its inception, the Murray Mews were a bustling hub of commerce and industry, with two prominent shops facing Murray Street and a network of factories and workshops tucked behind.

Over the decades, Murray Mews has evolved, but its storied past remains etched into its very walls - a timeless reminder of Perth's industrious spirit and the ever-changing face of urban life. Today, this building continues to inspire, blending its historical significance with the creative energy of a new era.

It is the mission of Murray Mews to showcase local roasteries, distilleries, breweries, and wineries by curating a diverse menu that showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of local artisans. From small-batch gin and craft beer to perfectly ground coffee, every sip tells the story of our community’s dedication to quality and authenticity.

Murray Mews has crafted a menu that suits every moment of the day, from a hearty breakfast, a satisfying lunch, to just a light, evening snack. Their menu offerings are inspired by local ingredients and flavours, served with the homey familiarity of your next favourite local spot.
