Podiatry services at the Citiplace Community Centre

The Citiplace Community Centre is proud to offer affordable podiatry care, supporting the health and well-being of our community.

We’re excited to announce a transformation of our podiatry services through a new partnership with the UWA Podiatry School. This collaboration will enhance the range of services available while supporting the education and growth of future podiatrists.

What’s Changing?

Under this new model, podiatry care will be delivered by second and third-year podiatry students from UWA, working under the close supervision of qualified podiatrists. During university breaks, a qualified podiatrist will provide services directly.

This innovative approach ensures affordable, high-quality, and continuous care for our clients while contributing to the training of the next generation of podiatrists.

What This Means for You

Our new partnership with UWA Podiatry School brings exciting enhancements to the podiatry services at Citiplace Community Centre. Here's what you can look forward to:

  • Comprehensive Care: Sessions are now one hour, offering personalized treatment for foot, ankle, and lower limb concerns.
  • Extended Hours: Services available five days a week in two podiatry clinic rooms.
  • Continuity of Service: A team of UWA-trained podiatrists ensures consistent care.
  • Specialist Access: Seamless referrals to UWA’s Crawley clinic and day surgery hospital.
  • Community Education: Free workshops on foot health and footwear.

Facility Upgrades

  • Renovations in February: expanding to two rooms for more flexible appointments.
  • Services paused during February, reopening in March 2024.

New Fee Structure

The fee will increase slightly from $33 to $40 per session. However, the removal of time restrictions and the added range of services mean more value and flexibility for your care. You do not need a doctors’ referral to receive this discounted fee.

Booking Changes

Bookings and reception services for the podiatry clinic will now be managed directly through the UWA Podiatry School. Further details on how to book appointments will be provided to all patrons shortly.

Key Dates

  • 31 January 2024: Final appointments with current provider.
  • March 2024: New service launches.
