NAIDOC Week Perth Opening Ceremony

The NAIDOC Week Perth Opening Ceremony for Booroloo is the formal opening of National NAIDOC Week in Perth and will be held at Wellington Square (Moort-ak Waadiny) on Sunday 2nd July from 12.00pm to 4.00pm.  There will be formal Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony conducted by Whadjuk Noongar Elders, Flag Raising, Yidaki and traditional dance presentations.  There will be a number of community stalls, children's activities and petting zoo.  Throughout the day, First Nations artists and musicians will perform contemporary and traditional music and songs, finishing off with the presentation of the Midar Boodjar Dance Ground presentation of traditional dancers on sand arts.
