Hatched Family Day returns this year and you're invited to take part in two free artist-led workshops in the PICA Hub!

The Melted Masterpeice workshop with Hatched artist Kat Chaplin uses playdough moulds shaped from toys and found objects. Participants will melt, pour and cast bright colourful sculptures from recycled crayons.

Next, Marks in Motion with Hatched artist Jessica Shannon, uses found and weathered objects instead of ordinary paintbrushes. Participants will roll, drag, pull and print across the canvas to create their own vibrant marks and textures.

Hatched Family Day invites children and grown-ups alike to experiment, get curious and discover what happens when everyday materials are used in new ways.
