Yagan Square will be abuzz with excitement on Friday, 10 March from 4-7pm, at the Rebound WA Para Sport Festival, showcasing some of the city's most thrilling and inclusive sport and recreation options.
For the second year, Rebound WA invites Western Australians to celebrate the strength, skill, determination and joy offered by adaptive sports including wheelchair AFL, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair basketball to blind sports, Para sailing, lawn bowls, archery, and power chair sports.Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives of a range of Para sport organisations, including Paralympics Australia, Wheelchair Rugby WA, Western Electric Sporting Association, Archery WA, WA All Abilities Football Association, Bowls WA, Para sailing, and Blind Sports WA. Visitors will witness first-hand the thrill of wheelchair AFL and basketball matches and have the opportunity to try wheelchair basketball, goal ball, archery, and lawn bowls.
Generously sponsored by the WA Department of Local Government, Sport, and Cultural Industries, Rebound WA Para Sport Festival is free and open to the public, and promises to be a fun and exciting evening for sports fans of all ages and abilities.
