The Swan River

Winding its way through the City of Perth is the Swan River. Unmistakable in its beauty, the river creates a stunning contrast to the City’s skyline.

Dual-use paths mean you can walk, ride or skate a circuit around the river or take a tour on a Segway. There’s also gorgeous grassed areas to enjoy a sunset picnic and watch the world go by.

For water sports enthusiasts, sailing, windsurfing and kayaking are popular as is boating, especially to watch the City’s Australia Day Skyworks.

The 2.5 hour 'bridges' walk around the river (crossing at Narrows Bridge and the Causeway) is also a big favourite with locals and visitors alike.
