Stories in the Park

Join us for special outdoor storytimes in the park.

Under the shade of the trees, we’ll be reading our favourite picture books and singing nursery rhymes and songs together. 

Storytimes alternate monthly between Perth City Farm and the Kings Park Poolgarla Family Area.

No bookings required.

*Join us for a special longer Stories in the Park on Wednesday 24 September 2025 (10am to 11am) for the Everlasting Kings Park Festival. After the stories we’ll be doing a nature-based craft activity together.

About the venues: 

Kings Park

Poolgarla Family Area, Kings Park, West Perth  

You’ll find us under the trees near Koorak Café. At this session we’ll be sitting on mats on the lawn. You are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs and picnic blankets. 

How to get there: 
PUBLIC TRANSPORT 
Bus Routes 24, 27, 103 and the Purple CAT Bus stop just outside the park at the Kings Park Road Outram Street bus stop. 
 
PARKING 
Free parking is available in the Poolgarla Family Area Carpark, access via Kings Park Road. Three ACROD bays are available in this carpark.

Perth City Farm 

1 City Farm Place, East Perth 

You’ll find us near the Art Room, just past the Café. At this session you’ll have the option of sitting on the mats or on a bench. There’s not much space so leave your lawn chairs at home for this one. 

How to get there: 
PUBLIC TRANSPORT 
Perth City Farm is right next to Claisebrook train station, and the Yellow CAT bus stops right out the front. 
 
PAID PARKING 
This CPP Royal Street carpark is just in front of the Farm. One ACROD bay is available on City Farm Place, and two in the Royal Street carpark.
