To celebrate Australian Reading Hour, the City of Perth Library and Boffins Books are delighted to present women's and romance fiction author Rachael Johns. Rachael will speak about the books that have challenged and inspired her as a reader and writer, the books that have held special meaning at different moments in her life, and the books she returns to time and again.

Australian Reading Hour encourages all Australians to pick up a book and escape in its pages for an hour. It is intended to encourage young, lapsed and committed readers to escape, relax, learn and experience the wonderful world of books. It doesn’t matter what time of day you pick up the book, just dedicate one hour to the cause!
About Rachael Johns
Rachael Johns is an English teacher by trade, a mum 24/7, and a writer the rest of the time. Rachael lives in the Perth hills with her hyperactive husband and three mostly-gorgeous heroes-in-training.
Rachael's best-selling book The Patterson Girls won a prestigious Australian Book Industry Award, and she is regarded as a leading writer of contemporary relationship stories.
