More than tea and scones - Country Women's Association of WA Open Day
In celebration of the Country Women's Association of WA upcoming centenary in 2024, an open day will be held on Sunday 23rd April 2023 at their facility in West Perth.
The event will celebrate the CWA of WA's 99-year history and contributions to the local community. There will be demonstrations from CWA Members on how to make perfect scones and ANZAC biscuits, as well as those showing how to make craft items such as feelie hearts, jewellery and simple knitting and crochet.
Attendees will also be able to hear about the advocacy work of the CWA and will have the opportunity to find out whether their relatives were involved through the CWA archives.
There will also be goods for sale including the iconic CWA cookery and Household Hints book, aprons, tea towels, scone books, beautifully handcrafted goods, and delectable Devonshire teas, of course.
This event is suitable for families. There will be activities on offer for children and teenagers, as well as anybody who enjoys craft and cooking.
