Make an Impression
Exhibition and Activities at The National Archives of Western Australia.
Find out about what life was like for ‘prohibited migrants’ in early 20th century Western Australia. See stories of Asian-Australian families, and find out if you would have passed the infamous Dictation Test to be allowed in to Australia. You can make your own special certificate featuring your handprint and a snap from our photo booth.
Parents can join in or view the exhibition Lasting Impressions: love, family and the White Australia Policy.
Great for families, children aged 4-12 yrs.
