Holly Wood Tuesday Morning Show

On Tuesdays at 11am the Town Hall hosts the Tuesday Morning Show, a free weekly community event aimed at seniors, with a program of musical entertainment, speakers and more.

Each week enjoy the camaraderie with a variety of entertainment compered by local entertainer Bernard Carney OAM.

    Musician and performer John Ralph will present some of the earliest songs heard in the Swan River Colony and delve into who sang them, where these songs came from and how they evolved in a new environment, and even invite you to sing along with some of them. They will cover topics relevant to the settlers. Fleas, Corroborees, Farming, Drinking, Governor James Stirling and many more.

    THEATRE 180’s production of A Fortunate Life has had 160 performances to packed audiences all around WA and the production is still going strong. The book, by Albert Facey, has sold over a million copies worldwide. What is it about this autobiography that has captured so many people’s hearts and imaginations? With images on the large screen Albert’s granddaughter, Christine Harling, tells us all about the man, his story, and how it came to be written, playwright Jenny Davis OAM describes the exciting process of bringing it to the stage and actor Bernie Davis reads excerpts from the book.

Featuring the music of legends like Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino and Louis Armstrong, Adam will take us on a musical journey to explore and celebrate the roots of great Jazz and Blues. 

Citiplace Community Centre, situated on the upper level of the City Railway Station Complex, offers a range of low-cost refreshments and services in a warm, friendly environment.
