HMAS Perth Freedom of Entry
Watch HMAS Perth, in full panoply with swords drawn, bayonets fixed, drums beating, band playing and colours flying at Forrest Place as part of their Freedom of Entry through the City of Perth.
The granting of Freedom of Entry is the highest accolade a town or city can bestow upon a group or individual. It is an honour given by a local council to a military unit, in recognition of their exceptional service to the City. This allows them the freedom to parade through the city and it is an affirmation of the bond between the regiment and the citizenry.
The march will start on Barrack Street (point A below) and finish at Forrest Place (point B below), they will then March back to Barrack Street (point A below).
Programmes will be handed out in Murray Street mall on they day of the event.
