Elton, Bowie, Beatles with Catherine Summers

Presented by The Ellington Jazz Club, come along for an evening of Elton, Bowie, Beatles with Catherine Summers and her six-piece band at Yagan Square Amphitheatre on Friday 19th May from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This concert is free and all are welcome!

This show includes all the big hits! Get ready for a magical history tour of the music of Elton John, David Bowie and The Beatles! Expect songs like Starman, Let’s Dance, Hard Day’s Night, Crocodile Rock, Bennie & The Jets, Life on Mars, Help and epic custom-made medleys. Catherine Summers will be bringing these songs to life alongside her band featuring some of Perth’s premiere musicians.

Perth jazz singer and bandleader Catherine Summers is widely known as a ‘delight to watch’. She’s acclaimed for her unique dulcet, versatile voice and her down-to-earth, engaging stage presence. There is an ‘instantly familiar’ vibe people have described about her that they can't seem to put their finger on - like you've known her for ages.

Catherine’s vocals have been likened to a mixture of deep raspy Amy Winehouse soft mellow breathy Diana Krall right through to powerful bluesy Joss Stone - an Australian Adele. She never fails to deliver playful swinging spirited live-music.
