Christmas sand sculpture

Christmas Sand Sculpture Village

A massive four metre high sand sculpture is being built at Elizabeth Quay by a local girl who made a career out of carving sand.

Jenny the sand castle girl and her team of international sand sculptors will be building a huge sand sculpture. Jennifer Rossen is a local Perth girl who grew up making sand castles on Cottesloe Beach. She has spent the last 25 years travelling the world making magical sand sculptures. And now thanks to the CBD Revitalisation Grant Program from Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and additional sponsorship from Development WA, she is building a 100 ton sand sculpture in Perth City.

It’s not a castle this time but the nativity scene on one side and a Santa Surprise on the other. Come and see the Sand Sculpture Walk Perth 2022, with lights inside and on the sculpture as part of the Rio Tinto Christmas Light Trail. There is fun quiz for you to try as you walk from one sculpture to another. Or join in the sand sculpture workshops 18th November – 2nd December and learn from the world's master sculptors how to make sand stand.

Sand Sculpture as fine art - but every sculpture is unique and made on location right in front of your eyes. So come and see what masterpiece will be carved this year at Elizabeth Quay Perth.
