Centenary Remembrance Concert
November 11th this year commemorates the centenary, to the very day, of the end of the First World War. Following PSC’s long tradition of ANZAC concerts, Perth Symphonic Chorus will mark this significant occasion with a performance on Remembrance Day of the Fauré Requiem and Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis pacem, with readings and image projections to deepen the meaning of the music’s text and the day’s significance.
Directed by Dr Margaret Pride, Perth Symphonic Chorus will be joined by soloists Sara Macliver and Christopher Richardson along with Igor Sas as narrator. The Perth Philharmonic Orchestra will accompany the chorus.
This will be a performance that will move everyone present and help us mark the day with respect and gratitude.
