Ancient Ales Talk & Demonstration
The art of fermentation is arguably as old as civilisation itself.
Ancient Ales were not necessarily made with malt or hops, but from whatever gifts nature had on offer. That means there's probably something in your garden right now that could be used to brew a delicious alcoholic drink!
Come learn the ancient art of creating alcohol from common ingredients and medicinal plants. We will be using fresh harvested herbs from the farm to make some boutique batches of ale. We'll also taste a few of Ben's delicious homemade brews.
All equipment and materials are provided.
All this is set in the grounds of Perth City Farm, non-profit urban farm that provides space and opportunities to cultivate connection, and educates and enables all of us to live sustainably with nature. The workshop space is connected to our lush food gardens, and we'll make use of them as much as possible during the workshop.
