AWESOME Festival for Bright Young Things takes over Perth Cultural Centre and Yagan Square, 29 September to 3 October, with free street performances and shows for kids 0 to 12, and all tickets no more than $10.
2026 AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things
From 29 September to 3 October, the State Theatre Centre of WA, State Library of WA, WA Museum Boola Bardip and Yagan Square fill up with performances, exhibitions and hands-on making.
Catch Stellarphant by James Foley, Hermit, Snuggleplay and Touch & Go on the stages at the State Theatre Centre of WA, then head to the Courtyard for free circus play with Yip Yip Circus, hand-built pinball machines, giant Imagination Playground blocks and the AWESOME Kids Market! Next door at the State Library of WA, join workshops with WA's best children's authors and settle in for stories with their Storyteller in Residence, Glenn Swift.
Then head over to WA Museum Boola Bardip to design a perfect city or become a history hunter! A short stroll away at Yagan Square Mall, catch free street performances by Born in a Taxi!
Plenty to do for free, and every ticketed event is just $10.
