Northbridge Piazza presents Twelve Films Heart, the award-winning annual short film festival showcasing works from independent, underground filmmakers from across the world with a strong DIY aesthetic, many of whom are self-taught and have never previously screened their work publicly.

Winner of the 2018 & 2019 Fringe World Film and Multimedia Award, Twelve Films Heart is sometimes quirky, other times moving, but always shows us unique and heartfelt expressions of love in all its myriad forms.

The screening event will take place at 7:00pm on 14 February at the Northbridge Piazza Superscreen. The audience will be welcomed to the event with a pre-show performance of Bowie Flowers with Magic Matt, this audience favourite pairs a floral David Bowie exhibition with live piano accompaniment by local legend ‘Magic’ Matt Penny. 

The film festival starts at 7:30pm.

After the show, the audience is encouraged to vote for their favourite films in a live People’s Choice award, which honours the grassroots nature of the festival.
