This year’s expanded program brings thrilling amusement rides, classic sideshow games, live performances, and immersive cultural experiences that will delight all ages.
Paola Pivi: I don’t like it, I love it
Now – April 2026 | AGWA
This expansive and vibrant exhibition marks one of Paola Pivi’s biggest and most ambitious projects in her almost 30-year career. The installation at AGWA features major commissions created especially for AGWA’s unique architectural spaces, as well as other new works and key selected works from across Pivi’s career.
Titanic: The Human Story
Now – June 2026 | The Northbridge Centre
Step inside history and experience the Titanic as you’ve never seen it before. This exhibition reveals the human story behind the tragedy, bringing the hopes, heartbreaks, and final hours of those on board to life. Visitors will walk through full-scale recreations of Titanic’s interiors, from the opulence of first-class cabins to the stark realities of third class, guided by an immersive audio narrative featuring music, soundscapes and real survivor testimonies.
Moonlight Cinema
Now – April | Kings Park
Pack your beanbag and a picnic and settle in for a movie under the stars at Kings Park this summer. Now in its 30th season, Moonlight Cinema’s got a stacked program full of everything from red-hot new releases to cult classics. Get your tickets here.
Experimental Comedy Club
Tuesday 13 Jan | Lynott’s Lounge

HoopsFest
Thursday 15 - Sunday 18 January | Across the City
HoopsFest isn’t just a tournament, it’s an epic four-day basketball festival that fuses sport, style, and community. Perth plays host to blockbuster NBL and WNBL games at RAC Arena which will also feature Sneakerland, Australia’s biggest sneaker-culture exhibition, plus a massive fan zone in Forrest Place complete with live music, slam dunk exhibitions, player meet-and-greets, food trucks and more.

Friday 16 January | WA Museum Boola Bardip
When night falls, legends rise. Step into WA Museum Boola Bardip’s newest exhibition, Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor and toast the warriors who once guarded an empire. Every Friday night becomes a moment set to go down in history, with expert talks, music, cultural performances, drinks and a unique after-hours visit of the Terracotta Warriors exhibition.

FRINGE WORLD is back for 2026, bringing an exciting program packed with everything from comedy, to cabaret, to magic and more, featuring both homegrown stars and international favourites. With hundreds of performances spread across 54 venues throughout the City, the biggest challenge will be deciding what to see first!
Hancock Iron Ore Australia Day

Reflect. Respect. Celebrate. in the city at the 2026 Hancock Iron Ore Australia Day. Join us from 3pm on Langley Park for an array of vibrant entertainment, with fun for all ages and adrenaline levels. An awesome spectacle of fireworks and drones will light up Perth’s skyline and wow crowds.
Perth Festival

The City is set to come alive with creativity, connection and bold storytelling this February as Perth Festival returns for 2026. Perth will become a living, breathing canvas - where office towers, cathedrals, and even the night sky are transformed into stages for art in all its forms.
Lunar New Year

Celebrate the Lunar New Year in the City with Lion Dance performances in Murray Street Mall from midday every day from 17 to 20 February.
Lotterywest Summer Nights

Get ready for an unforgettable experience at Elizabeth Quay as the Lotterywest Summer Nights return! The dazzling floating stage hosting immersive live performances, surrounded by a feast of food options and fun activities for the whole family.
