Book in to use Brookfield Place’s 3x3 basketball and pickleball court and enjoy some fun in the sun on your lunch break. The court is completely free to use, with equipment available to hire Mondays to Fridays 8am-4pm.
Stories in the Park
Join City of Perth library staff on Wednesday 26 March for a special outdoor storytime at the Poolgarla Family Area, Kings Park. Under the shade of the trees, they’ll be reading their favourite picture books and singing nursery rhymes and songs together. At this outdoor session we’ll be sitting on mats on the lawn, so to make it more comfortable you are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs and picnic blankets.
WAAPA Live
In the mood to be serenaded during your lunch break? Brookfield Place is hosting free live performances by WAAPA at Bobeche, Print Hall, Grill’d and Papi Katsu throughout the month of March. For the full program, click here.
Material Practice: Howard Taylor’s Journal
Head to AGWA to explore the evolution of one of Western Australia’s most significant artists, Howard Taylor, seen through both his artworks and pages from his journal. Admission to the gallery is entirely free, however if you’re feeling generous, donations are encouraged.
WA Women's Hall of Fame
The WA Women’s Hall of Fame celebrates the contribution of women to WA, with more than 300 women recognised for their inspiring work and achievements in areas including communities, business, health, education, the arts, science, research, advocacy, and cultural life to date. This exhibition, opening on 6 March, spotlights inductees who are no longer with us but whose legacy lives on through the Roll of Honour and in items in the State Library’s collection.
