Maar Koodjal
This seven-week program, running from 27 May to 13 July, features immersive First Nations art and interactive cultural experiences, including live music, dance, visual performances, storytelling, art exhibitions, fashion showcases, and radio broadcasts. Join us to connect with the history, culture, and strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through a diverse lineup of events led by celebrated First Nations creatives.
Piazza Season of Sport
Relax on the lawn in the shade of the Piazza’s umbrellas for the City of Perth Northbridge Piazza’s Festival of Football, where all the action is live and large from bounce down to siren at your community outdoor superscreen. Laze in the casual camaraderie of the Piazza Festival of Football – both the Eagles’ and Dockers games are broadcast each week so there’s something for all footy fans.
Holiday Craft Activities
Visit the City of Perth Library for free, fun craft activities throughout the July school holidays. See staff on level 4 to find out what they’re making each day. Suitable for ages 2 – 12.

Bran Nue Dae Under the Stars
Step into an evening of music, film and storytelling under the stars at Yagan Square this 10 July. More than a movie night, this free event, with a special appearance by Ernie Dingo, is a celebration of legacy, visibility, and connection.
Winter Film Club – Submarine
The City of Perth Library’s film club is back on 8 July with Submarine, directed by Richard Ayoade. There’ll be a screening followed by a discussion with resident film buff Tristan Fidler. Tickets are free – be sure to register before it books out!
National Tree Day
Celebrate National Tree Day this 27 July at Matagarup/Heirisson Island! Join us for a hands-on day of tree planting as we come together to grow Perth’s urban forest and support local biodiversity. Light refreshments provided.
Cosy @ The Quay
This July, Elizabeth Quay transforms into a winter fairyland for Cosy @ the Quay, a free three-day celebration that brings the rich cultural warmth of Europe's iconic winter festivals to Perth.
The Goologoolup NAIDOC Screenings
This multi-week program at Northbridge Piazza celebrates NAIDOC 2025 with a showcase of Indigenous art, featuring films, sculptures, and paintings from art communities across Australia. This year’s theme, chosen by the National NAIDOC Committee, is “Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy.” It celebrates past achievements and the bright future ahead empowered by our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of ancestors.
