Put down the home-cooked bread and give your PJs a much-deserved break. Here’s a few things that we’ve been cooking up, brewing up, and stocking up in your absence.
We invite you to revisit all the places you love — and perhaps discover a few new ones while you’re at it. There’s so much to explore in the City.
So Much on Offer
While you may already have minds abuzz about where you’ll eat and drink and shop and play when you visit the City, we’ve pulled together a tantalising list for you.
Shopping
The City is stocked full of boutiques and unique stores you won’t find anywhere else — we suggest hitting up Cold Wave Store which stock a curated selection of vintage and consignment streetwear, plus Lessons or Cabinet Noir for your fashion-forward luxe wear.
While you’re out and about, there’s H&M, Uniqlo and Zara for your high-street fashion finds; JD Sports and Lululemon will cater to your post-hibernation workout fashion; and Mecca is your beauty buys destination for all your upcoming social catchups.
We’re pretty sure after spending a lot of time at home, you’re ready for a refresh! We think West Elm or, Cavania and Arrival Hall are some starting options to stylishly fit out your home.
Special Finds and Adventure
Whether you’re after a gift for that special someone or you deserve one yourself, we’ve got a few ideas in store.
Specialty goods can be found at Boffins Books, Sue Lewis Chocolatier, Beans and Bunches along with G-Star Raw and Aquila. And for the movers and shakers, we’ve got Two Feet and a Heartbeat walking tours, The Yoga Vine, and Perth Waterbike Adventures.
Cafes, Restaurants and Bars
Let’s face it. Nothing beats months of home-cooked meals like a visit to one of our world-class venues. Here’s a taste of some places that are open for business and your bellies!
For quick bites and caffeine hits, make your way to Golden Bakery, Gather and Trade, Tartine Café, La Veen Coffee and Uncle Joe’s Barber Shop and Cafe. Grab your gourmet snacks at Wassup Dog and Chicho Gelato.
And when you fancy a drink or something hearty, make your way to Varnish on King, Bright Tank Brewing Co, Mayfair Lane, Goody Two's, Caballitos, Canton Bay, Furaibo Izakaya or Double Rainbow Eating House.
Of course, these are just the tip of the iceberg! To see even more options of what’s open now, click here.
Travelling to the City
In addition to public transport and taxi services, we’ve got plenty of parking options available, including free and discounted ones just a stone’s throw from the action.
• Free short-stay street parking
• $10 all-day parking from City of Perth Parking
• Free 3-hour weekend and public holiday parking at selected City of Perth Parking locations
Please note changes to free short-stay and $10 all day parking will come into effect from 20 July 2020. Find out more at City of Perth Parking.
Your Safety
While we’ve done a fabulous effort as a community at flattening the curve, it’s important to remember that social distancing is very much still a priority. Please ensure you keep your 1.5m distance from others and continue washing your hands.
Speaking of cleaning, our venues and stores have scrubbed up on all the necessary safety requirements and implemented their services to ensure you have a safe visit.
You’ll notice some extra cleaning and fewer tables around the place as a result.
