Parking
Parking has never been easier in the city with plenty of free parking options. Once you have selected your events, simply pick the closest carpark from either CPP Pier St (recommended for events east of William St and south of Wellington St), CPP Cultural Centre (for events in Northbridge) or CPP His Majesty’s (for events west of William St) and enjoy the first 3 hours free on us every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday! You can also park for free in any City of Perth parking bay, including CPP carparks, from 6pm nightly.
If your events are outside of those areas, just head to the CPP website where you can quickly and easily find the closest carpark to your event.
Coffee pit-stop

Want to keep your day flexible?
Here are some options that you don’t need to book for! Just reference the Heritage Perth Weekend Guide map for more info.
Stop in at the Nyumbi (celebration) dance performance (30) at WA Museum Boola Bardip, watch some fascinating digital exhibitions on the Northbridge Piazza screen or check out what’s on at Uglieland (15) at Elizabeth Quay, which even has audio description and a tactile tour for those with hearing or vision impairments. From there you can take your pick between visiting WA’s oldest building – the Old Court House Law Museum (7) or check out the exhibitions at the Museum of Perth.
Get your steps up with one of the City of Perth’s many walking tours including: Icons of Influence (6), Convicts and Colonials (18), Significance of Queens Gardens (37), Significance of Stirling Gardens (9) or Significance of Harold Boas Gardens (68).
Or go at a bit of a slower pace at an exhibition from Rainbow Timeline WA (5) to Inspirational Women of Our Past (11) and plenty more.
Lunch
Whether you’ve spent the morning at events or are starting your day out in the city with lunch, we’ve selected a few of our top picks to help fuel you for the rest of the day:
For those out and about in Northbridge, head to the Old Shanghai food court which has options aplenty. Bivouac, No Mafia and RoyAl’s Chicken and Burgers should just about round out all the mouth-watering cuisine options for even the fussiest of eaters!
If your journey has led you to Perth City, you can’t go wrong with gourmet pub-grub from The Globe or rooftop bites and beverages at The Aviary. If you feel like keeping with the theme and dining in a stunningly refurbished heritage building, look no further than The Meat & Wine Co, or if quick and casual is more your thing, we recommend taking a stroll along Barrack St where you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Over in leafy West Perth, grab yourself a delicious jaffle from The Jaffle Shack or some flavour-filled bites from Totally Rendang. Otherwise if the coffee got you good, you may even opt to return to Gordon St Garage and refuel for lunch too!
If your schedule has sent you to East Perth, you can’t go past a relaxing lunch overlooking Claisebrook Cove at Toast or The Royal on the Waterfront before you continue your Heritage Perth Weekend journey. If breweries are more your thing though, we recommend Bright Tank Brewing!
Dessert
It’s not a day out in the city without wandering around, ice-cream in hand!
Whether you’ve got kids in tow or you’re just a big kid at heart, you can’t go past gelato at fan favourites Gusto Gelato and Chico Gelato. For those who like to spice up their ice-cream experience though, Whisk Creamery and 720 Sweets are what all your wildest ice-cream dreams are made of! And don’t forget old faithful’s Ben & Jerry’s or San Churro…go on, we know you can fit it in.
No matter what your day at Heritage Perth Weekend entails, we know you'll find everything you need for a memorable time right here in the city.
