Where to be entertained

Festival season is arguably the greatest time in Perth. FRINGE WORLD Festival runs from 15 January to 14 February with something for everyone from the kooky to the cultural. This overlaps with Perth Festival, which brings a full program of dance, opera, visual arts and more from 5 to 28 February.

Summer is the season for outdoor movies. Enjoy a picnic on the lawn in the beautiful Kings Park at Moonlight Cinema or watch the latest films or cult classics high above Northbridge at Rooftop Movies.
This Australia Day, Reflect, Respect and Celebrate the diverse and unique country we call home with events, markets, concerts and an immersive exhibition of sound and light across five full days of fun at the City of Perth’s Australia Day Festival

Experience the world's oldest living culture through music and dance with Nyumbi, every Friday evening in the Yagan Square amphitheatre. To a cultural experience from a different continent, head into Northbridge on 14 February for the Perth Chinese New Year Fair. With food, games and lion and dragon dancing, this vibrant street carnival will bring in the Year of the Ox.
