The Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival returns in 2027, from 1 - 30 April.

The Festival is an annual celebration of the history and heritage of Boorloo (Perth). It provides opportunities to explore Perth’s unique heritage through walks, talks, exhibitions, open houses, community events and performances.

In 2026, 54 program partners participated in the delivery of the Festival, and 85% of all events and activities were free. In all, over 92,000 people attended the Festival.

How to get involved in 2027

We're inviting expressions of interest from groups or individuals to deliver events that shine a light on Perth's unique stories.

Expression of interest

Proposals should demonstrate a connection to Perth’s built, cultural and natural heritage and must take place during the month of April 2027.

Event registrations are open to a broad range of history and heritage groups, artists, authors, performers and community arts and cultural organisations to share stories about Perth's history and heritage.

  • The Festival will run from 1 to 30 April, 2027
  • Proposals must demonstrate how the event or activity aligns with cultural, built or natural heritage
  • All activities must take place within the City of Perth local government area
  • Please note: if you are proposing more than one event or activity, you will need to fill out separate forms for each proposal.
