Bathers Beach

Bathers Beach is centrally located between The WA Maritime Museum Precinct and Challenger Harbour in Fremantle’s fashionable West End.

This serene bay is perfect for swimming, with the bay largely protected by two rock walls. The popular Bathers Beach House offering sun lounges, on-sand service and delicious cocktails. If you’re in for a more casual dining experience enjoy takeaway Fish and Chips on the beach with Twin Fin.  

Bathers Beach is an easy 10 minute stroll from the Fremantle bus and train station or a 3 minute bus ride on free blue CAT bus. Right in the middle of the beach is Kidogo Arthouse holding exhibitions and hosting events all year round. The Bathers Beach house Art Precinct is also home to some of WA’s most celebrated Indigenous artists and designers.

While public toilet facilities are available you won’t find public showers or changing facilities at this beach. There are public BBQ’s located close by at the Esplanade Park.

Free for use beach wheelchair is available and can be booked via the City of Fremantle. This beach is not patrolled by Surf Lifesaving Clubs.
